This notice explains how Meat Et, 95 Chase Side, London N14 5BU (info@meat-et.com), uses your personal data when you order from this website.
1. What we collect
- To take an order: your name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
- To take payment: if you pay by card, your card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
- If you create an account: your saved addresses and order history.
- Automatically: your IP address and basic device information, to keep the site working and to prevent fraud.
2. Why we use it
- To prepare and deliver your order — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To send you updates about your order.
- To send offers — only if you ask for them, and you can stop at any time.
- To keep records for tax and accounting — a legal obligation.
3. Who else sees it
Our payment provider, the company that provides our online ordering system, and our delivery drivers — each only to the extent they need it. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
4. How long we keep it
Order records for six years, as required by HMRC. Account details until you ask us to close your account. Marketing consent until you withdraw it.
5. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@meat-et.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary — keeping your basket, remembering your language, keeping you signed in and keeping the site secure. These do not need consent. Anything beyond that, such as analytics, will be off until you agree to it.
